ProjectSight – Invite Team Member (Mobile)
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project aimed to allow users to invite team members to their team or create new team members. From the homepage, users can access the directory by tapping either the directory itself or the plus icon to find the directory option in the action sheet. If a team member can be found, the user can create a new member. I designed a new tile for the homepage and developed the Invite Team Member form. From this form, users could either save the new team member's information or choose "save and add another" to continue adding more members.
The designs needed to align with Trimble’s current brand standards.
PROGRAMS USED
THE TASK
If a user couldn't find the member they were looking for in the Directory, they could tap the plus icon to access the Invite Team Member form. In this form, they could either search for an existing email or add a new one, select a security role from a list, enter the first and last name, and search for or add a new company. Once all the fields are completed, the user could tap the plus icon to save and add another member, or tap the save icon to save the new member's details. If any input field is left incomplete, an error message will appear beneath the missed field, prompting the user to fill it in.
EMAIL WORKFLOW
The user has two options for the email input. They can add a new email by tapping on the search bar or they can search for an existing email. If they taps on the right chevron, it will take them to the Directory page with radio buttons next to each name. This allows the user to select the name they want. The Done button is disabled until the user makes a selection. The user can also search for the name instead of scrolling through the list.
SECURITY ROLE WORKFLOW
The default setting for the Security role is "Collaborator," but users can change it if needed. When the user taps on the dropdown, they are taken to the Security Roles page, where they can scroll through a list of available roles to select the one they need. The list of security roles may vary, as they are created by those with project permissions. The "Done" button remains disabled until a selection is made. Users also have the option to search for a specific role instead of scrolling through the list.
COMPANY WORKFLOW
Similar to the email workflow, the user can either search for an existing company or add a new one. Tapping on the right chevron takes them to the Company list, where a search bar automatically appears, enabling a quick search. The "Done" button remains disabled until the user selects a company.
SAVE AND ADD ANOTHER
After filling out the form, the user can choose to add another member or save the current information. If the user taps on the plus icon, a success toast will appear, and the form will reset to allow the user to create another member.
